My little story
My name is Camille Gravel (but you already know that!). I live in Baie-Comeau, a small town on the North Shore of Quebec. From a very young age, I spent my time drawing, painting and making sand sculptures.
After working in interior design, in 2019 I chose to reconnect with my little inner self who missed her workshop, and part-time. What a joy it was!
I started by reproducing animals in pastel, animals that evoked gentleness and wisdom in me. In 2022, my artistic impulses attracted me towards watercolor, but with coffee as a medium! Landscapes, women and animals that give me a feeling of well-being, freedom and greatness appear under my brushes.
My style is minimalist and soft. I love letting my backing speak for itself, which is why you will always see the natural color of the paper or wood panel.
I took the leap into 2022. I launched my full-time business! I gave myself the goal of listening to my heart, of having fun while letting my intuition go. All this, while remaining connected with my values: self-fulfillment, well-being, local purchasing, the quality of my works and the human and friendly customer experience.

My artistic approach
Every work truly comes from the heart...
For a while, I walked a fragile thread between darkness and light, to find my inner well-being and today, my creative process finds its source in introspection, nourished by the observation of positive emotions that unfold on several levels: strength, pride, gentleness, magic and vision.
The female face and natural elements are strong symbols, linked to a sense of belonging to the North Coast woman in me. I integrate the fauna, flora and sometimes even landscapes of my region, in order to create harmony between the woman and her environment, and to suggest a feeling of well-being.
The dynamic poses of the animals and my unreal compositions seek to awaken in the viewer a feeling, an energy or an action, encouraging him to get closer to his own aspirations.
My painting practice favors the warm tones of coffee on a wooden support, as well as the soft contrasts between black and white acrylic. We can observe several textures created by the golden leaves, the drops escaped here and there, the visible brushstrokes and sometimes even elements of nature such as dried flowers or encrusted stones. These textures give movement and a 3rd dimension to the paintings.
My approach is also influenced by painters such as Rio, whose fantastic compositions resonate deeply with me, and Thalia Stanton, for her mastery of various mediums. But beyond these inspirations, it is my own experience, my intimate relationship with art and life, which guides each gesture, each aesthetic choice.
Throughout my practice, I wish to share an energy of luminous and creative force that I hope will be able to inspire the viewer to live fully, to be in harmony with oneself and to realize one's greatest aspirations.
I want to offer a mirror, an invitation to reconnect with oneself, to find the beauty and strength that reside in each of us.
